The process of printing from a plate, on which the image to be printed is ink-receptive and the blank area is ink repellent. This is then transferred onto paper resulting in a premium quality print. Most lithography is offset lithography in which the image is transferred from the plate to a rubber blanket cylinder, and then printed (offset) from the blanket onto the paper.
